Fall Bliss ...

November in New York is when the leaves are almost all gone and we are settling in for a long winter. Soon, the leaves on the ground will be covered in snow, and all the beautiful colors of autumn will be a memory. Fall is my favorite season with the balmy weather, bright colors and time of harvest! I've created this card with these thoughts in mind! ~Enjoy~!

My leaves are from Spellbinders® Fall Foliage dies, and are cut from ivory cardstock, then painted with various mixtures of paints including: Burnt Clay, Pumpkin, Raw Sienna, Rustic Red, Emerald, Green Olive and Sunshine. Once dry, I used the cracked glass technique, then rubbed it with green ink to highlight the cracks. I layered them on an embossed background, attached a twine bow, tiny twigs and a fall sentiment to finish the card.

Have a blessed and creative day! ~ Darsie

Thankful for You!

I love the colors of Autumn with leaves and chrysanthemums in reds, yellows, greens and oranges. Today I have created a fall floral card that would be a perfect hostess gift at Thanksgiving or for any occasion where you are feeling most thankful.

I love to make flowers and CI paints have amazing color and shimmer to bring the petals to life. For my mum, I started by cutting 15 of the Blooms Two die from Spellbinders® with ivory paper. I painted the back side of each flower with Burgundy, then turned it over and painted the front with Burnt Clay.

With a dry embossing tool and foam mat, I shaped the petals into a cup and then touched the tips with Buttercup paint. I glued one flower on top of the other, and continued in that manner until I got the fullness I wanted for my larger mum. With leftover flowers, I created two smaller mums.

As a background for my mum, I cut various leaves from the Fall Foliage die set out of olive green cardstock, and painted them with Evergreen. I added a touch of Buttercup and Burnt Clay to the edges to show the changing of the leaves.

Have a blessed and creative day! ~ Darsie

Always Be Grateful

Good morning and Happy Monday fellow paint lovers!  Emily here today with a canvas I created using lots of beautiful Creative Inspirations Paints.

Recently, I have been inspired by all of the fall leaves and colors I am surrounded by on a daily basis when I walk to work. Thanksgiving is also coming up very soon, so many have been posting and sharing what they are grateful for this month. The two inspirations combined equal today's canvas.

Nine different paints were used from CIP in this canvas. Not only did I use the paints on the flowers, but I also used them on the canvas, the glass beads gel and a small amount on the wooden letters.

As you can see, the message of the canvas is clear. It is a nice fit for this time of year. I currently have this piece hanging in the hallway surrounded by family photos. It reminds us to be grateful for who and what we have. :)

You can see the shimmer of the paints in these various close up shots. When you look at the canvas from different angles you can see the different colors I used.

Below are the Creative Inspirations Paints used in my canvas today.

Other supplies used: canvas, Bo Bunny Khaki Dot cardstock, Prima Flowers, Wood Veneer Alpha (Studio Calico) Liquitex Glass Beads Gel, Acrylic paint , Distress Ink, Prima Stamps, Tim Holtz Stamps, StazOn Ink,

Fall Treat - Lollipop Cookies

Supplies:
Stamp: Nicole
Ink: Tsukineko
Paint: Creative Inspirations
Ribbon: Offray
Cookie Pop Recipe: Martha Stewart
Other: Wood Stick

Hi CIP fans!  Dana here with you today. I bake these cookies several times a year.  My girls love them and some things just taste better on a stick!  My daughter recently had a bake sale for her school corn festival and I baked a batch for her.  I wanted to tie in the fall theme of the festival so I chose a candy corn stamp and some colorful Creative Inspirations paints.

I stamped onto the cellophane with solvent ink and then painted the candy corn with Creative Inspirations paint in winter Frost, Sunshine and Mango.  Isn't the shimmer fabulous!?  This paint works great on slick surfaces.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  If you would like a chance to win some of this fabulous paint, join in on any one of the weekly challenges each month.  You don't need to use Creative Inspirations paints to play along, but if you do, you double your chances of winning! Falling leaves

I just love how my yards green grass has been replaced by a sea of beautiful fall leaves.  My kids and I enjoy raking them into big fluffy piles to jump and romp in.  We also love to just look at all the different leaves and the colors.  So today I decided to bring you a project inspired by this weeks challenge of leaves.  I made mine fall leaves of course.
These yummy leaves were all painted up using Evergreen, Burnt clay and Burnt Sienna.
I LOVE!  The yummy shimmer on these leaves.  Makes me finally happy it is Fall.
I hope you have enjoyed my project today and that you join us in this weeks inspiration challenge.  You still have time to link up and show us your wonderful project.

Starting to look like Fall

Hello again,  JennK here with you today.  I have noticed lately around my house that it is finally beginning to feel and look like fall. I really have been enjoying the nice cooler weather and the colors around are amazing!  So this  recent change has inspired my project today and my color choice.  It really reminds me of what I am seeing around me right now.  The colors I used are Beige, Green Olive and Buttercup.
I decided to stamp with the paints for this project. I painted them right onto my stamp,  then while the paint was still wet I applied clear embossing powder and heated for a raised effect.  It really brings out the already wonderfully sparkling color of the paint. I also applied the beige paint to the embossed card base.
A close up.
I hope you have enjoyed my project and are inspired to try out the paints on your next project.
