self made background - Kianel

Hello dear Creative Inspirations paints lovers,
Kianel here with you today showing a project i made using Creative Inspirations paints products and Great Impressions stamps.
I decided to make my own background for this card. I first cut out a white paper and covered it with "tattered rose" distress ink. I then took the Great Impressions stamps "rose intertwined hearts" and "J101" and then stamped them randomly on my paper using Versamark. I embossed all of them with the Clear embossing powder that Creative Inspirations carries. And finally added "victorian velvet" distress ink. I just love that technique!!!

The big flower is made using a premade flower and dies from Cheery Lynn designs that i inked and covered with "rose quartz" "tuttu pink" and "winter frost".

I then stamped the Great Impressions flowers called"Easter Lily". To colour it i used distress inks and Creative Inspirations paints "emerald" "olive green" "rose quartz" "sunshine" "tuttu pink".
Don't forget to join us on our weekly challenge for a chance to win some fabulous Creative Inspirations products!
Lots of love from France, Kianel.

Be as a Bird

This week in honor of the weekly challenge, Inspired by Flowers, I thought I would share this card.  To make this card, I started with my green cardstock and die cut a circle window in the front. I adhered a white panel to the inside of the card. Using stamps from Great Impressions, I stamped the Bird in Roses on the white panel to show through the window. The sentiment was also stamped on white cardstock, die cut, and outlined with gold marker. I dry embossed the front of the card with an embossing folder, added lace tape, adhered the sentiment,  and added the paper flowers and the bow. The image was painted with CI paints -- sky blue, tutu pink, pumpkin, sage and canary. All of the paper flowers were painted with canary and pumpkin. This gave the dull look of the flowers a nice shimmer and also helped them to match the bow.

Holly Brown: Copper Watering Can

Hey folks! It's Holly posting today. Did you enjoy the special blog hop that we had this weekend for Creative Inspirations Paints and Great Impressions? That was so much fun and there was so much creative eye candy to drool over!

I'm playing with another stamp from Great Impressions called Watering Can Bouquet (G302). I stamped this with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it in with a bunch of Creative Inspirations Paints.

Isn't that a great stamp? I decided to go bold and summery with my colors, but you could take this in any direction. Pastels for spring, warm fall colors, or even a monochromatic theme would be wonderful with this stamp. I used the Torn Frames technique from Technique Junkies and some bright summer-y papers from Echo Park.

The paint colors I used are:
Antique Copper (watering can)
Green Olive
Mango
Emerald
Plum
Blush
Amethyst
Chocolate
Buttercup

Isn't that Antique Copper just gorgeous?? You can see the shimmer below:

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a wonderful day!
