Fun in the Winter

Hi friends :)
Jan here with my last post as a design team member for CI Paints.  It's been fun and the paints are AWESOME!  I'm sure to be back for some of the challenges and look forward to seeing what you make :)
The image is an internet freebie and I just enhanced an already beautiful vintage image with Winter Frost and Silver Frost paints.  I love the little velvet poppy and the Bingo game piece, don't you?  This is an New Year's Eve card and I'm wishing you all the best in 2011!  Hapy New Year!

2011 Calendar

Hi friends!  Jan here with a 2011 Calendar to keep track of important Design Team dates.  My personal calendar was getting a little crowded this year so I decided to have one just for Design Team stuff!  What's cool about this calendar is between each of the calendar pages, it's open on both ends so you could easily slip in your order forms, magazine calls and any other important goodies!  I won't post all the pages of the calendar but here's a few.  The font on the calendar is Tfu Tfu and was done in Word Publisher.
I used Creative Inspirations Turquoise, Tutu Pink, Evergreen, Blush and Antique Copper.  I used a base coat of light blue acrylic paint to paint the entire calendar.  I then stamped some background with Versamark and applied UTEE, then heat embossed.

I used Creative Imaginations paper for the front cover.

The little diecut snowflake at the top left is Spellbinder's and the pink jewel crown is Recollections.  The chipboard calendar is K&Company.  The flower below is made with the Beaded Scalloped Oval Die.

Snowmen on A Stick: Vintage Christmas Tree Ornaments

These little ornaments were a labor of love :)  I’d seen some cute Snowmen on a stick at the Rustic Corner and thought I’d create my own!  I gave mine a paper mache head and added a hat and clothes.  The little star on the hat is Spellbinder’s.  Mica Flakes are Melissa Frances.  Clothes were recycled from old ornaments.  I used Creative Inspirations Paint in the following colors.  Pumpkin, Onyx, Fairy Dust and Blush.

One of these things is not like the others: Inspired by being different!

This week, the challenge  is “One of these things is not like the others.”  Inspired by being different.  I chose to alter a few bottles and fill them with Halloween Potions!  I’ve used Burnt Clay, Raw Sienna and Coal to decorate my jars.  I thought it would be fun just to drizzle a bit of the Coal inside the bottle that holds bones.  The Burnt Clay and Raw Sienna have some water added.  Can you tell which is different??  Hope you get a chance to join in on a fun challenge :)

Bedtime Stories Challenge: Cinderella

This is my first post as a Design Team Member for Creative Inspirations Paint. I'm so excited to be part of this team and look forward to fun challenges and GREAT paint that will make any project shimmer and shine!
I chose Cinderella as my inspiration for this challenge and I decorated her carriage with Lavendar Inspirations and silver glitter. I also painted the little notecard carriage with Lavendar and printed "Believe" using my computer.
Now it's your turn :) Show us your Bedtime Story creation!

Make your own vintage pins by adding beads to a long straight pin or a corsage pin.  Dip in paint and then poke the pin into a pin cushion and let dry!
