Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
With Thanksgiving a few days away, I was inspired to make a card with a turkey!!
My card:
I used my Cricut to cut out this adorable turkey from the "Create a Critter" cart.
The I used CI Paints Mango, Chocolate and Coal to add some shimmer to him!
I embossed his back feathers with my Cuttelbug folder "Tiny Bubbles". I then covered the "bubbles" with Mango CI Paint which matched the color of the paper perfecty. After painting the bubbles I then used sand paper to reveal some of the papers white core and take off some of the paint.
I really like how it turned out. I used "Chocolate" to cover the dark brown paper of the turkey's body and "Coal" for his eyes.
These little pieces of ribbon were originally white. I first used VersaMagic Pumpkin Spice Chalk Ink to cover the ribbon and then used CI Paint "Mango" on the top. I cut the ribbon into little pieces to add some embelishments to the card.
I think it adds a neat addition to the card.
Lastly to finish off the card I stamped a swirl in the top right corner with the same VersaMagic ink. I found that the ink and Mango work perfect together. I then used a tooth pick to cover the little dots with "Mango"and used "Burnt Clay" to cover two of the swirls. The added touch of shimmer is perfect!
These are the colors I used:
Mango, Chocolate, Coal and Burnt Clay
You can order your shimmery paints here. They add such wonderful shimmer to just about anything!!
