She believed!

Hi and Happy Tuesday!  Tina here today with my first CIP blog post and project!

I am so excited to be with y'all today!  I was like a kid in a candy store with I recieved my DT box, jammed FULL of CIP goodness!  I wasn't sure what to create first, as my head was spinning with so many ideas!

Once I settled down a bit, I decided I would create a 'She' girl, inspired by a wonderful The Crafters Workshop face stencil.  Creating a 'she' girl with CIP paints and this stencil was super easy and really fun!

I started my canvas by layering bright, bold colors on the background.  I love the transparent properties of CIP paints and they look beautiful layered on top of each other.

Here's the colors I used on my background:

Once I was happy with my background, I used the Crafters Workshop face stencil as an outline for my face.  I outlined the face/hair shape and began to add my detail.

I really love the depth of color and wonderful glimmer on my face and hair!

Here are the colors I used on my face, hair, and bodice.

Thank you so much for letting me share my first project.  I had a lot of fun and I can't wait to create more!

I hope you have a great week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tag using Watercolor Crayons and CI Paints

Hi! Emily here to share a colorful tag I made using  Kassi's Watercolor Stamping Tutorial which you can find in the Tutorial section.

I actually used a couple of stamps with my watercolors and Creative Inspirations Paints to make this:
I colored the flower with some Blush paint and did the center in Buttercup. The flower is canvas, and you can see in the close up below how the fabric looks when painted. I didn't completely cover the flower, as I wanted it to have more of a splotchy look. I covered a punched out circle with some Glossy accents, let it dry, made it crack by bending it, and then colored it with my paint.

Part of the Watercolor Stamping tutorial explains how you need to wet your stamp with some CI Paints and water mixed in a mister. For that I used Sky Blue. It added just the contrast I wanted. You don't see a lot of the blue, it's more the sparkle you are going for. :)

Below are the colors I used:

I also did a layout with this tag, which I will share in a couple of weeks! These are part of a class, along with THIS CARD to show off the various techniques you can do with the CI Paints.

Have a great day!!

A Thousand Thanks Card

Hello all! Nicole with CIP here to share a very clean and simple card with you. I am super excited to be sharing projects for the next few months! I am a cardmaking gal so you will see lots of CAS cards using our wonderful Creative Inspirations Paints!

Today's project features a fall-feeling thank you card. You can never have enough thank-you cards in hand, right? I played with some fall colors from the collection and laid them out on a very simple background to pop those colors out.

As you can see in the picture above, I wanted to leave some textures on those feather die-cut pieces, so I stroke my brush in different directions. I used Antique Copper for the bigger feather and stroke the brush sideways. The smaller one is colored with our lovely Mocha Latte and I painted it in downwards. As a finishing touch, I added couple of Jeweled Inspirations SS30 Clear on the bottom of the card.

These two colors are very soothing and capture the fall-feeling perfectly. This card would be perfect for any men in your life :) Hope you enjoyed today's project! Thank you for stopping by!!

My First CI Design Team Project

There is Always Something To Be Thankful For...

So very thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this design team and use these FaBuLoUs paints.

If you know me at all, you know I am all about color. I love having so many different color choices with these amazing paints. They are awesome to work with and blend so great. The shimmer factor is amazing.

I did this project on the back side of an 8x10 canvas because I wanted dimension.

The background is done on my Gelli Plate using Royal Blue, Aqua Marine, Turquoise, and Plum.

I placed a stencil over that after it dried and used Buttercup and Pumpkin for the swirlies. I used a dry stipple brush to apply the paints with the stencil. I outlined the swirls with a black ball point pen.

On the flowers, I used Plum, Aqua Marine, Fuchia, and Evergreen. I also used the crystals in the center of the flowers. I also used the crystals on the Tim Holtz ornate frame.

On the leaves, I used Evergreen, Buttercup, Fuchia, and Pumpkin.

The outside of the frame was painted with Sapphire.

For the bricks I used a brick stencil and Liquitex Coarse Texture Gel. I mixed Burnt Clay, Chocolate, and some Garnet into the texture gel before applying it to the frame. These colors stayed true and shimmery even with the blending of the texture gel...Amazing!!!! I then just used my finger to add depth and highlites with the Garnet, and some white gesso after the texture paste dried.

The butterfly was a print out that I cut into 4 individual wings. I printed it out on white heavy cardstock and then filled in the outline. I used Garnet, Fuchia, Pumpkin, Buttercup, and Onyx. I used a white signo pen for the white dots and highlites on the butterfly.

Here are the paints I used...

I hope this project inspires you and serves as a reminder that There is Always Something to be Thankful For.
