Thursdays Technique!

Happy Thursday everyone one more day and its TGIF!! Woo hoo so excited.  Today I am sharing something different from the norm.  This is something that has become popular amongst some crafters its altering wood - yeah sounds boring for sure.  When I first heard it I was like ok wood, not!  Well I love doing it now especially since I love altering things and how cheap is a piece of wood right.

The chipboard pieces are from Gina's Designs and this is a piece I requested which is so nice.  She can make almost anything ladies and gents...
Now the embellies on it are resin pieces I made from earrings and the key is a charm I only had one left so I molded another one and then painted them with CI Paints.  Added some Graphic 45 papers and a butterfly and I was sold on altering wood.

Everyone give it a try and let me see what you can come up with?  Simply Monica

These were my colors of choice and yummy together I must say!

Spring is in the Air!

April Showers brings May Flowers but in Florida at the moment it is cold - go figure!  Even though I love the cold weather because it beats the heat - nothing says fun more than summer and spring.  For my post today I created and Easter tag with some gorgeous spring colors from CI Paints!

The gorgeous doily is from Gina's Designs and the flourish off to the side as well.  I applied some molding paste to my Tattered Angels screen at the bottom of the tag. To me they almost look like eggs.. hmm maybe not?!
I used some Creative Memories flowers - originally these were flat but with some love and curling the sprung to life and brought the colors I used form CI Paints to live that much more - definitely another match made in heaven right!!  I even painted the dress on the stamped image.

Simply Create!

Hi everyone today I want to share a chipboard banner entitled "Create"along with the Birds & Flourishes set.  The banner is a piece from Gina's Designs and I painted the banner pieces with CI Paints along with Teresa Collins patterned paper.  Like I have so many times CI Paints match so many paper lines its amazing. I just love how this paint has such an amazing shimmer to it.  You just can't go wrong.

I made the yellow flower out of some scraps I had left

I painted the flowers as well with CI Paints and the side flourish is from the Birds & Flourishes set

Supplies Used:
CI Paints

PRINCESS PARTY with CREATIVE INSPIRATION PAINTS

 Good Morning Friends,

This is DIANA L. from DL.ART with my  first official  Design day project over here at  Creative inspiration Paints, I hope you are inspired from my post. The paints are fantastic, easy to clean up and shimmering colors (beautiful). I just love working with them and hope to share with you some ideas on how I use them and maybe inspire you to try.  There is a challenge on the blog every week and you have the opportunity to win some of the CI paints.  They are reasonably priced so you may just want to buy some.

Isn't this just the cutest shoe ever. I just got this cartridge this last week and bought it specifically for this cut. The cartridge is called Princess Party. I could not wait to decorate  it with the Creative Inspiration paints

For the heart I used sunshine and added a jeweled inspiration rhinestone in ruby, which added even more sparkle.

I painted denium on the stamp and then stamped the little flowers down the side of the shoe. It looks great on the textured card stock.
