Really quick and easy card!

This is a really quick card using stamps from Great Impressions I used a Fantastix to color the watering can and flowers that I stamped on water color paper.  I had cleaned out a couple old pigment ink pads and filled with Tickled Pink and Evergreen Inspirations and used these with my word stamps like I would stamp with ink.

Where you can find Inspirations

I have had a lot of questions on where to find Inspirations so I thought I would post a small note on where to find them.  Currently Susanas Custom Art and Card Design and any stores that carry Great Impressions Rubber Stamps.  You can go to Great Impressions Rubber Stamps and there is a store locate by state.  If the store doesn't have them, ask and they can always order them from Great Impressions at any time.  GI is a distributor so I do not have a listing of which stores currently buy the paints from them.  And if you are just looking for the paints and nothing else you can stop at the Creative Inspirations website and order them.

I am actively working on getting the paints into more stores.  I will have a store listing for the website and blog posted soon.

Let's get this party started!!!

hello hello hello!!!

apologies first as i am SO late posting our VERY FIRST DESIGN TEAM post! we got in from Louisiana VERY late last night and i am NOT a good night time person!

So today we kick off our maiden design team challenge! I asked the team to do a color challenge using the incredible shimmer paints - they used yellow, lavendar, & green - PERFECT spring colors if you ask me (my personal faves anyway hee heee!) well they certainly delivered some amazing projects! pics will be posted here and details can be found on their personal blogs.

i just LOVE this group of projects! the paints are so versatile and easy to use for alot of pizzazz with little effort! Want to join in - run over to the store and grab your favorite colors! Molly (the creator) gave us a great tip i can't wait to try - use the Tsukineko Fantastix to paint with - simply soak them in water and use like a paintbrush! this gives wonderful watercoloring effect. i know i have some of those around somewhere and can't wait to try them with the paints!
i do hope you are able run over and leave some love for all the girls as they created some really wonderful projects - dontcha think??

We will have new projects posted by the DTs every Thursday starting April 1 so be sure to check in! Better yet sign up to receive updates and you know you won't miss them!

i FINALLY got some studio time thanks to my FABULOUS hubby - he took on Pezzy the wonder tot for the day! then tonight she is going to play next door so we can go out to dinner - Outback bloomin' onion here i come!

My card uses these challenges for inspiration:

Splitcoast Stampers - Sketch (SC270)
Cuttlebug Spot - Green
Crafty Creations - Monochrome
Paperplay - Just Because
Twisted Thursday - Green
Stamp Something - Girly

and here is my card:

i have had this stamp on my table to use for awhile but i can't remember where i got it - quite possibly from Molly - our wonderful CI creator - she surprised me with a box full of stamps one dy - i about DIED y'all! i put each of the mini panels throguh my cuttlebug to give them some extra oomph without being overpowering. the little flowers are primes i have had forever and all of the little pearls are the AMAZING Viva Decor Pearl Pens. These are hard to find in the US right now but that should be changing this spring!

i stamped my main image on watercolor paper with black Archival Ink (it is waterproof - my memento bled) and then i sprayed the paper well with water in a mini mister to moisten it up. then i simply wet my brush and dipped it into my gorgeous shimmering pots of Inspirations paints and painted them on. i love the way these paints give so much bang with little effort!

here i used the following colors:
Evergreen
Citrus
Buttercup
Canary
Mellow Yellow
Pink Highlight
Chocolate

So what do you think???? if you LOVE to shimmer you MUST check out these paints!!!
