My final ATC results from Wall tutorial

Hello, my dear  painting friends! Irit is here again, and this time I want to show you the final result from my 2 month old Wall art tutorial. Those ATC were made a long time ago, but they were published in April issue of Scrapbooking News and Review web magazine and  I couldn't share it anywhere until now.
I made those 4 ATC based on those wall projects, painting with Creative Inspirations Paints(the list is below), stamping over it  with Inspired by Stamping Aviary set and using some Copper, Deliquensce  Fine  White  and Fine Clear embossing powders. Then all of them  got a touch of Garnet paint as some blood drops.
All stamps are Inspired by Stamping randomly stamped Sweet  Aviary set images. And those are totally regular ATC- flat, standard size and ready  for exchange. The titles on all cards are from Authentique paper stickers.
And here are some of Creative Inspirations Paints and powders used on this project

See you next month!

Make a Wish, They Do Come True

This fortnights card, was created for a very special friend, about to embark on the venture of a lifetime, with moving to USA to broaden her areas of study.  I wanted to make a card which is my interpretation of dreams coming true for her - an of course a coat of Creative Inspiration Paints was a 'must'.

The beautiful Prima Marketing 'Fairy Belle' 6' X 6" pad was used to create this card, and every component was covered in a generous coat of Creative Inspiration Paint. The ballerina fairy, and butterflies were painted with Fairy Dust - seemed most appropriate and left the most glorious touch to the image/s. 'Mellow Yellow' was applied to the 'yellow' butterfly on the right.

The base of the card was created using the Cheery Lynn Designs, French Flair Classic Series, and then topped with the Mini Pearl French Flair.  Also, the foliage (Dimensional Leaves and Olive Branches) were painted with several coats of 'Green Olive' Paint, as well as, 'Evergreen' to create a depth of shadow on one edge.

Each of the flowers was touched with 'Gold', just highlighting each of the petals.
The Imaginarium Designs Chipboard - 3" X 2" Swirly Frame (IDFR0004) was painted using Antique Gold, in a haphazard manner, leaving patches with no paint.  A light sponge of 'Gold' Creative Inspirations Paint was applied over the entire frame leaving a gorgeous, two-toned -gold, with amazing shimmer.

The challenge theme on the Creative Inspirations Blog is Mother's Day this week, and can be found 'Here'. Each month, one person will win 5 jars of paint in the colours of their choice. There is a top 3 each week, and a winner chosen randomly from all those who have participated that month, so make sure to join in on our challenges each week!

Angels

Since the theme this week is inspired by Mother's Day, what better to show than a family card. These Stampotique angels make a wonderful family grouping.
I really wanted to show this card on the CI blog because it demonstrates one of my favorite things about CI paints, besides the color and shimmer of course. I love that you can see what you stamped through the colors and yet the colors are strong. You can paint over black ink and get a great color. Colors used on my card include sunshine yellow, gold, plum, royal blue, onyx, garnet, burnt sienna, autumn wheat, and blue ice.

Fishy Bookmark

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Today it is my turn to share something I created for you and I wish it were a new technique but it is one I rarely see used.

I used a wonderful stamp from Sweet Stamps called Tropical Fish Silhouette (small).

I usedheat embossing first with clear detail powder, then used the salt licked technique, and then some over stamping. I made this bookmark because I needed a new bookmark and I love the the sea and fish tanks. I also used some fibers I had laying around to look like seaweed.

label this...

Hello my fabulously wonderful friends!

Watching my mom and aunt go though all of my Grandparents things was hilarious! If neither one of them had a preference for an item, they would pair up two similar items and flip a coin to see who got what. I spent a fair amount of time as the official "coin tosser".

One thing that got passed on to me was an vintage Dymo tapewriter from the 70's.  They gave it to me in hopes that I could use it in my art.

Well, not only have I used it, I am going to share a fun technique with you! Please note that although I am using an old tapewriter, any of the newer label makers that emboss strips of plastic will work.  (the ones that print the labels won't work, it must be one that embosses.)

Here's what you need:

Creative Inspirations Paint
 Cardstock
Label Maker
Sandpaper or Emery Board
Glossy Accents

Step 1: Cut strips of  cardstock to whatever width of tape your label maker uses. I used cheap white cardstock, but I have also used kraft, and Glossy Paper with great results. Feel free to play!

Step 2: Paint your cardstock strip with your favorite color of Creative Inspirations Paint. Having good contrast between your cardstock color and paint color will make the end result better. (I'm using Denium)

Step 3: Once your strip is dry, load it into your label maker the same way you would load you tape. Gently curl the strip into the place that normally holds the tape cartridge.

 Step 4: Make your label...

Step 5: Using sandpaper or an emery board, gently buff off the paint from the embossed letters to reveal the cardstock color. (this is where having the contrast in colors will make it pop)

Step 6: Cover with a layer of Glossy Accents (by Ranger) or other glossy sealer. This is optional, but it will protect the label and give it the shiny look that the plastic tape has. (except yours will be a custom color and have that great CI shimmer!!!!)
This one is a white cardstock core painted with Burgundy CI. Check out that shimmer!

This is a fun way to add journaling to your LOs or a message on a card.

Enjoy!

Wedding Wishes

Hello!  I have a wedding card to show you today, made with Creative Inspirations Paints.  (I LOVE these paints!)

I have plenty of 1" wide white cardstock strips, so I painted them with Fairy Dust (on the right)  (it gives a clear shimmer to anything you paint), Silver Frost (middle) and Antique Silver (left) paints.  I used my hydrangea punches on these strips to create a whole bunch of blossoms.

Leftovers go into a little sealed envelope, for another project on another day.

Can you see the amazing shimmer on these flowers?  Look below:

The sentiment and birds are Verve, and the flourishes flowers are Stampin' Up!.  And can you see the oval frame I created?  I used two different sized oval dies, nestled one inside the other, then passed it through the Big Shot.  I popped it up on the oval opening with foam dimensional stickers.

Thanks so much for coming by today!

Dimensions: 4.25" x 5.5"
Stamps: Vintage Vogue - SU; Love Story - Verve
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White - SU
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black -Tsukineko; Sahara Sand - SU
Other: Hydrangea punches - Martha Stewart; Big Shot; oval die cut - Spellbinders; Damask embossing folder - Sizzix; Fairy Dust, Silver Frost, Antique Silver paints - Creative Inspirations Paints; pearls - Queen & Co., Recollections

Amy's Kitty

Hello sweet friends.  Today I'm sharing a card I made using a digital image by Sylvia Zet.

This adorable image is Amy's Kitty and I love that little kitty's face ;)  As usual, I've colored the image with copics and colored pencils.  Then to add lots of pretty sparkle, I painted certain elements of the image with my Creative Inspirations Paints.  I used Tickled Pink, Tutu Pink, Buttercup, Mellow Yellow, and Fairy Dust on the balloons.  I punched the butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch and painted them with Tutu Pink, and then added a pearl to each one.  The flowers on the ground were painted with Fairy Dust.  These paints give such a pretty pearlescent sparkle but they don't cause your digis to smear, which would sometimes happen when I used stickles.  Below is a closeup and I think you can see the shimmer better in that picture.

Thanks for stopping by our blog and I hope I've inspired you to try some Creative Inspirations Paints on your next project.

Hugs, Anita

Stamp:  Sylvia Zet Wee Digi Stamp - Amy's Kitty
Paper:  Echo Park - Springtime; Bazzill
Other:  Creative Inspirations Paints - Tickled Pink, Tutu Pink, Buttercup, Mellow Yellow, Fairy Dust; Copics; Caran d'Ache and Prismacolor pencils; Gamsol; pearls; ribbon; Martha Stewart butterfly punch

Simple Touch of Paint

Hello!  It's Kendra here to share one simple card I created and a sneak peek of another card.  Nothing really complicated, rather just showing you that even the slightest use of these paints really does add a beautiful touch to any project.

The first one I created with the thought of this week's challenge Inspired By: Rainbows in mind, when I seen Jessica was having this challenge, I was so excited, as I have had a card design in my head for awhile now and just never got to it.  So I used this challenge to get it made.

Although, I won't be able to share the whole card with you, sorry, Paper Creations magazine wants to publish it later this year, which was so exciting!!  But with it being so last minute, I wasn't able to create something new.

But here is a sneak peek:

I lightly sponged "Fairy Dust" on the embossed paper to add some shimmer!
---------------------------------

Next,  with graduation around the corner, I created a graduation card with my Cricut.

As I mentioned, nothing complicated with this, but I embossed the numbers and then used a paint brush to add Mango to the dots to add some shimmer to the card.
Just the slight use, really just makes a beautiful difference!!  Adds a perfect final touch!  I just love the SHIMMER of these paints!

Have a nice day!

Kendra
