Hello!
Shea here with Glitter and Bonbons, and I have made a couple of tags for today's project.
I've been playing around lately with mixed media projects, and one of the things I've started experimenting with is stenciling. I LOVE stenciling and find myself doing it more and more, even when I'm making simple projects. It adds a nice note of depth and interest to a background, plus it's just plain fun.
On this card I stenciled the tag using a rose stencil with Peach and Mint for a very subtle base image, then I stenciled the diamonds with Mango. I inked the edges with a dark peach ink then turned to the die cut. I used patterned papers, first painting the pink paper with Peach before embossing both it and the green piece with Deliquesce Metallic Copper.
Here it is at a different angle where you can see the stenciled image a little better. Very subtle but very shimmery.
Some hand dyed crinkled seam binding finishes this simple little tag.
I brushed the second tag with Peach and Green Olive, then stenciled the diamonds also using Green Olive. I applied peach glitter around the edges of the tag and peach and green glitters to the rose diecut after first embossing it with Deliquesce Metallic Copper. A little stamping and some green hand dyed seam binding finish this tag off.
Thank you so much for joining me and don't forget to pop on over to the current CI Paints challenge, the theme of which is "Ribbon and Bling." See you there!

Butterflies and Beauty
This week's card started as a bit of an experiment. I used the Cheery Lynn French lattice large die and cut the design from a sheet of two sided adhesive. I adhered the die cut adhesive to the aqua cardstock and removed the top cover sheet. I covered the adhesive with CI Resplendence (glitter) angel dust. The result was a beautiful, sparkly design on the background paper. Then I stamped my image from Great Impressions on white cardstock. I painted the image with CI paints: spring green, emerald, turquoise, ivory, caramel, burnt sienna, coal, peach, and canary. I die cut the image using a Spellbinder's die (Label 23) and cut a corresponding layering panel which I highlighted with peach CI paint to add shimmer. The flower was die cut (Cheery Lynn miniature rose die) using crepe paper layers with canary CI paint highlights. The butterflies (Cheery Lynn dies) were cut using yellow and orange cardstock. I then used canary and peach CI paints for highlight and shimmer. I love how this card turned out with all the shimmer and sparkle.

Gatefold Card
My card today is a fancy gatefold card. I used dies from Heartfelt Creations/Spellbinders for the fancy scalloped tops. The first image shows the card closed. The sentiment panel has flowers and ferns from Rogue Redhead Designs stamped using mint and peach CI paints. The inside stamps and sentiment are also from Rogue Redhead Designs. All of the filigree at the top of the card was painted with fairy dust to give a luscious shimmer. Then I added clear Jeweled Inspirations for additional bling.
