Shimmery, Sparkly Wedding

Hello!

Shea here today with a wedding card for my stepdaughter and her soon-to-be husband.  As it's an all white card, and I don't DO white (much less all white), what better reason to add shimmer and sparkle?  Creative Inspirations Paints to the rescue!

Of course I had to emboss a base layer because let's face it, that much solid, smooth white would make me run screaming for the hills.  Heh.

The little birdies were a natural for painting with Winter Frost...

...and the double layer heart-shape twiggy die cut lent itself to some strategic and generous helpings of Resplendence Angel Dust.  Oh my, how it sparkles!

Some teeny, tiny pearls for the eyes and sentiment, and some Jeweled Inspirations (small) on the corners finish things off.

Thank you for joining me, and don't forget to head over to the Creative Inspirations challenge blog.  The current challenge is Anything Goes!

Happy crafting!

Home is Love - A Colorful Canvas

With the weather being so dreary these days, I have been making my art as bright and colorful as I possibly can.  I have also been extremely inspired by Christy Tomlinson's mixed media canvas work. If you aren't familiar with it, I highly suggest that you take a look at it.

Today's canvas is one of my favorites. I used  a lot of Creative Inspirations Paint on the background and other elements of the piece. CI Paints are great for covering patterned paper without totally losing the pattern. You can also add water and thin them down even more so you have just a bit of color.

To make the background of my canvas, I first covered it with patterned papers. After they were dry I started adding my paints. I used transparent paints along with my CI Paints in Sky Blue, Turquoise, Evergreen and Green Olive. I chose to use my fingers to apply the paint rather than a paintbrush so that I had more freedom with the paint. I also like the texture I get when using my fingers instead of brushes.

I made the house out of patterned paper and washi tape. My Faber Castell pens were used to get a more painted look on the edges. I also added some CI Paints in Garnet on the house and Sunshine, Pumpkin and Orange paints on the roof and flower that is in the center. The door is a Prima wood door I cut in half and painted the backside with Sunshine and Buttercup paints. I added Siam Jeweled Inspirations to the door, heart and flower for some bling. Turquoise and Garnet were used on the edges of my heart.

I absolutely love how this canvas turned out. The colors are rich and vibrant, and looking at the canvas makes me happy, especially in dreary weather like we have been having. It really brightens my day!

Here are some more close ups of the canvas....

Highlighting Patterned Paper

Happy Holidays CIP fans!  Dana here today sharing a Christmas layout. I hope you all are enjoying your holiday with family and friends.  I had a great time accenting this page with Creative Inspirations Jeweled Inspirations and paint.

The Small Siam Jeweled Inspirations were the perfect size to highlight the holly berries on the patterned paper.

I added sparkle to several areas of the paper using Emerald paint and the patterned paper as a guide.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

A Joyful Canvas

Good morning and Happy Christmas Eve to everyone! I hope you are all ready for tomorrow and are able to spend some quality time with your loved ones and friends.

I wanted to make today's post quick since everyone is preparing for the big day tomorrow, or already in the middle of some festivities!

Today's project is a canvas I made for my boyfriends mom, Joy. She loves Christmas, and has one of the most beautifully decorated houses I have ever seen! Since her name is Joy and ornaments and decorations with the word Joy are in abundance this time of year, she has a tree decorated entirely with Joy ornaments. Also, there are various pieces of art around the home that have the words Joy on them. Which is why I made this canvas. The Joy isn't just the word joy, it is Joyeux Noel. We don't remember her having many French phrases around the house, so I thought this would be cute.

As you can see it has lots of Creative Inspirations Paint on it. The background, tree, tree trunk, and tree top are covered in CIP goodies! There are even some jewels on the Joyeux Noel.

I used the following paints and jeweled inspirations on the canvas:

Thank you so so much for stopping in today from your busy schedule!! I will see you again after the New Year!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!

If you would like to get some paints before the start of the new year, remember that everything in the CIP store is 10% off!!!

CIP - Reindeer in Paint and Glitter

Hi CIP fans!  I have a trio of cards to share with you today.  These fun little reindeer die cuts are from a die that I've had for a while, and I've used some wonderful Creative Inspirations Paint in Copper to paint them.  Their hooves and antlers are painted in Chocolate, and the antlers have been glittered with Resplendence Angel Dust by Creative Inspirations Paint.  I couldn't resist adding a bit of Garnet paint to the collar, and added some of the Jeweled Inspirations (Siam and Clear) Bling to their noses and collars as well.

CIP - Nutcracker Tag

Hi there CI Paint fans!  Kimberly here, and I'm back with a new project with Creative Inspirations Paint.  I've used three colors from the Creative Inspirations Paint line on my Nutcracker Tag that I've created with recycled chipboard (cereal box).  The background of the tag is covered in Sapphire, the snowflakes and Nutcracker's hair is Winter Frost, and his shoes are Evergreen.  I've also used Siam (SS20) Jeweled Inspirations for the snowflake centers and on the Nutcracker's hat.

Sweeet Floral Delight!

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with my very 1st post for Creative Inspirations Paint, and I'm
Super excited to say the least!!! :)
Today I have a card to share with you all , and hope you like it!! :)
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Creative Inspirations Paints, I have used several different colors on my entire card here :) Not only did I stamp with the paints, I colored, distressed and inked up everything on my card :)
Tutu Pink
Blush
Pink Highlights
Chocolate
 Carmel
 Tan
Evergreen
Green Olive

For the tag I used Tutu Pink, I just brushed it on to cover all the white. For the oval frame I used Tan. I love all the shimmer the paints give, they are beautiful!

Next on the flowers, I stamped the pink ones in Blush, heat set, then colored with Tutu Pink, and then cut them out with dies. for the edges of the flowers I used Resplendence Angel Dust from Creative Inspirations Paints. this is sooo pretty and gives a lot of glitz for cards and projects. All I did was brush some glue on the edges and then dipped the one side of the flower into the jar, and then tapped off the excess.

Now for my brown flowers I stamped them in Chocolate and then heat set, and then colored with carmel. I repeated

For the Branches, I used Evergreen and Green Olive to create the look for them, and then punched out the branches.

I used the Jeweled Inspirations for the centers of my flowers :)
For my Crocheted Lace I painted it with Pink Highlights, and for the card stock I painted with Carmel and Tan, also used them both on the doily!

I am Honored to be a part of Creative Inspirations Wonderful DT and absolutely LOVE working with the Paints and glitz. Thank you for looking and hope you have a lovely day!!
I will be back with another post using the paints a little different on Tuesday October 16th, see ya then!!!!
hugs to all,
Cheryl(from Sweeetdesignsbycheryl)

Enchanted Rose Garden

Today I decided to use CI products to make an elegant card, even more elegant.  I used Cheery Lynn dies for the fairy, the roses, and the leaves. The roses were highlighted with rose quartz CI paints and on the fairy wings I used, what else, fairy dust. On the moon and wand I added jeweled inspirations for the additional bling. With all of the bling and shimmer, this definitely is an enchanted rose garden.
