Hi, it's Holly posting today! This week's challenge is "Something Old." I created this photo tray for my grandparents who will be celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary this month. Yes, 67 years! This project may be new, but my grandparents' love is timeless. :-)
I started out with some Authentique papers and some dies to put together six different "trays." The "love you always" and the little flourish under the heart (upper right tray) are chipboard pieces that I painted with black acrylic paint and then covered with Antique Silver shimmery paint from Creative Inspirations Paint. I love that shimmery antiqued effect over the black paint.
Why not try using some of your Creative Inspirations Paints over a darker painted surface? It's a cool way to age your project and give it a little shimmer as well. :-)
Have a wonderful day!

Very cool!
Wow, is that beautiful! I just love all the detail! Love the idea behind your challenge of it being "timeless". I've never done one of these photo frames, but they look so fun! May have to make that my goal this year.
I love your interpretation of the challenge. How amazing and wonderful that they have been married so long.
I have a couple of these trays and haven't used them.
Thanks for the inspiration
Beautiful work of art. The shimmery black pieces are fab.
I really love this!
Just beautiful! Love those papers too (have some)
This tray is just gorgeous!
hugs,
