charming shells...

Hello my fabulous friends!

For those of you who visit my personal blog, this is not new, but I wanted to share it here for all of my CI fans who want to hold on to every last bit of summer they can!

While we were at the beach, I made sure to pick up some teeny tiny shells for the "just in case", and this just happened to fit the bill! A custom charm to remember a fun filled day!

I started out with one of Tim Holtz charms.

I die cut a circle out of white cardstock as my base and used Glossy Accents to glue it to the inside of the charm. I then covered that with some more GA and sprinkled on some beach sand. 

After that had dried, I glued on my cute little shells with more GA and let that dry.

I then covered it with Creative Inspirations Resinesense, and put it under my UV light for 30 minutes to cure. 

Since the one shell was so tall, I ended up doing a second layer of Resinesense. When covering a charm with resin, it is better to build layers than to do  one thick layer. 

Normally when you work with resins, bubbles are considered a bad thing... however, with this particular piece, I thought the bubbles added to it, so I didn't discourage them. I think it adds character :)

First ever altered wood tile project

Good Morning Friends,

I am doing an extra Design team post today.  I have never made an altered wood tile project before so this is my first ever. It was so fun I loved using the one part UV resin that we carry called Resinesence. There is a link below for you to go buy some and start making your own altered wood tile art.

This was the easy part. I glued the image on the tile, let it dry. then I  poured the resin on top, I pulled it to the edges with a toothpick and  let it dry and cure in the sun for 1 hour-- it was ready.  I painted the edges with shimmering raw sienna and then added the jewelry findings.

Resinesence Necklace

Good Morning Friends,

This is DIANA L. from DL.ART   I am doing an extra Design team post today for Creative Inspirations Paint.  I think I will be making jewelry from now on (lol). Who would think this could be so easy? This is our newest product, resinesence. I made this in the morning went to the gym, came home and finished it in the afternoon. This new product is incredible.  It sets in about 30 minutes under UV light, mine took a bit longer because we had the usual coastal fog in the morning. Other than that, I love how it came out and I am thrilled with this product
