Long life is in store for you

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again and this time with my new oriental card.
I got those The Rubber Cafe oriental stamps and decided ti make this All occasion card with CI Paints and embossing powders .

The Blossom stamp was stamped with Clear embossing ink over this Basic Grey light patterned paper, then heat embossed with  Deliquesce Fine   white embossing powder  and trimmed for the front panel.
The Laced Fan stamps was stamped with the very Colorbox Gold ink  over this red patterned paper and then heat embossed with Deliquesce Fine Clear embossing powder.
I made it 3 times, partly cut the fan pieces and made it 3d with some 3d glue foam.
As my blossoms were pretty much white and bare, I colored them (just a bit) with Creative Inspirations Garnet and Blush  paints and used the stamped images as my resist (wiped with a baby wipe after the painting)
The cluster of partly recycled  pieces was added and my card was done. Hope you like it!
See you  with my nest post in 2 weeks!
And here Creative Inspirations Paints and powders I used for this project

A Book of Memories

Hi Everyone,
I'm very excited to be part of the Design Team for Creative Inspiration Paints! For my first post I created a 'Memory Book' using a variety of elements to host the gorgeous CI paints.  This book is a real book, once read by many, so with a little TLC (perhaps some would say sacrilege) it
has now been altered in a major way.
Every element on my book has been painted.  I used 'Winter Frost' as the cover base.  'Winter Frost' is a brilliant colour to use over 'any' colour - it simply highlights in a magical manner.  The page edges are coloured using 'Antique Gold', giving that old bible appearance. The chipboard pieces by Imaginarium Designs came up a treat using the 'Gold' CI Paint - the shimmer is amazing and when in the right light it looks like millions of beautiful diamonds.
The flowers have been washed in a mixture of 'Fairy Dust', 'Pink Highlights' with touches of 'Gold' thrown in.  The large rose, was painted in 'TuTu Pink', and
Beige', then a watered down mixture of 'Winter Frost', and then 'Fairy Dust' applied.  All foilage was painted with 'Green Olive'.  I used a variety of colours of cardstock for the leaves, so the paint gave a different depth with each colour.  Very pretty!
Every die-cut element was cut from 'White' cardstock, and coloured using various coloured paints.
Inside Cover
The paper flowers (below) came up a treat and look at all that pretty shimmer!  I used paper flowers on the inside of the book, due to them laying flat, therefore they will not get damaged when the book is closed.

Till next time

Spring Bouquet

Oh how I love spring flowers! I fell in love with this stamp, Millie's Teapot Arrangement, from Sweet Stamps the minute I saw it. This month we have teamed up with Sweet Stamps,, so I wanted to share a card using this wonderful stamp. To create my card, I started with a Kraft cardstock base. I sponged green olive CI paints over the base. It's barely visible on the scan above, but it's cool in real life. I then used the lace die cut from Heartfelt Creations/spellbinders to layer. I stamped the image on Cryogen cardsock and used the outside the Nestie technique to cut it out. Then I brought out my CI paints and had fun painting the image. I used lots of colors: sage, emerald, evergreen, orange, buttercup, canary, autumn wheat, caramel, lavender, blush, tutu pink, and rose quartz. I sponged around the edges with green olive. to finish off my card I used a row of green rhinestones along each side of the card. Shimmer and bling and spring flowers make a great match.

Sponges

Good morning fellow crafty friends!  Hope you had a nice weekend!

SPONGES!!

You're probably wondering why in the world I have kitchen sponges! ;)

Well recently I was shopping and needed to pick some sponges up, well as my mind is always thinking crafty thoughts, as I picked them up I thought it would be fun to buy some extras to use with CI's shimmery paints!!

I found, that I really like the pink one the best!

I started by using a paint brush to add the paint color of my choice, in the this case Tutu Pink, to the sponge.

I also did a test sample using Sunshine:
I didn't realize I didn't have any bigger paint brushes as the kids recently use them and I through them out as they had gotten really bad - so just a note you may want to use a bigger brush, so you can put more on at a time.

How fun is that?!

Another sample using Burgundy:
You could make your own SHIMMERY backgrounds with these cheap sponges!!

Here's a sample using the yellow sponge:

------------------------------

For my card I created I used a piece of patterned paper and then used the pink sponge and Tutu Pink:

I just love the look!

The entire card:
I also used Deliquesce Fine Black Embossing Powder on the stamped swirls around the sentiment.

------------------------------

Here's another card using the sponges as well:

I used both Light Purple and Amethyst to add shimmer!
------------------------------

I also have one more card I would like to share:

I used VersaMark to stamp a fun background stamp on the cross and then used Deliquesce Fine Clear Embossing Powder.  Lastly, I wanted Pink Highlights on the entire cross to give it some shimmer!

Have a great week!!
